One day, long ago Someone told you to believe And on you went believing That you could touch the sky You believed you could fly Fly to other worlds And save the ones you knew You believed in yourself You believed it could happen One day...
Then the dreams, they changed Deeper dreams and longings The world no longer pained Your heart filled to full
One day, not so long ago Someone told you to grow up Leave the dreams behind Find where you belong You put aside the other worlds And forgot you could save your own They were lost in the reality You believed in nothing You believed it couldn't happen One day...
Then the dreams, they came back Longings at your heart The world is pained Your heart needs to be full
One day, maybe yesterday Someone told you to believe And you remembered the dreams That you could touch the sky You believed you could bring down heaven To an angry world You could save this world you knew You believe in yourself You believe it can happen One day...
Then the dreams, they're real Deeper love and longings The world no longer pained Your heart filled to full
Then the dreams, a promise Deeper joy and longings The world no longer pained Your heart fills the world
One day...

Still 'behind' what I should be at by the end of today (10k), but I suspect that may be it for today, too. Tomorrow should be fun. And let's hear it for babbling about the changes in the world over a two-thousand-year span... :)

| linked to the biodad |
[06 Nov 2009|03:38pm] |
My stepdaughter's biodad is a complete tool. My wife (and I) are basically in an emotionally abusive relationship with him that any therapist would tell us to get out of, but the thing is that we can’t, because we are linked to him through our girl. How to deal? I am so powerless in this. I just have to sit here and let him write hateful things to my wife. They are never profane or threatening, just mean and faulting her and accusing her of things for which he isn't taking responsibility-- e.g. She wants to go somewhere during their weekend time together, and he wants us to pick her up and take her back, and he will count it as time that he will recoup with her later. If we don't do this, we are "ruining his weekend with her" and "backing out on her." This just cuts at my wife like a blade, and me as well. What to do? Any advice?

Mum and I have been here exactly a week now and we have now had three casualties and one survivor. Since the place we are in now is at the bottom of... something, the back yard is just bushes, trees, streams and whatever. Anyway, it looks like the kitties are having a lot of fun, too much fun I think.
We keep getting brought voles (or meadow mice/field mice). I came home to two on the kitchen floor on Tuesday and mum woke up to one Wednesday morning. Sadly these were goners, but today I managed to save one from Tinkerbell. She brought one in and after some hunting I was able to get it outside. Poor thing. I hope it'll be ok. :\ Nothing like having a giant cat come and try to kill you to make you lose your shit.
It's nature, I know, but I feel real bad for those little guys.
Voles aside, I am now obsessed with Bones. I've always been a causal watcher and haven't seen a season in it's entirety, but during the move since we could only watch DVD's I put in season one that I bought back in May and am thoroughly hooked. I haven't seen the whole thing yet with episodes in the right order or any other seasons in their entirety, but I plan to remedy that.
I <3 Booth.
Mum and I also watched V. I haven't seen any of the original miniseries or anything like that, but I liked what I saw. I wasn't 'omg best show ever', but I liked it. It was also fun seeing buildings and places that I'd been by/in during the show, I totally forgot it was filmed here until I saw the church for the first time. I loved seeing Alan and Morena on the same show again. Now all we need is Nathan, Adam, Jewel, Summer, Ron, Sean and Gina on and we'll be set. :D
Um. I thought I'd say more, but I guess not. I'm sleepy and shall go to bed.
